Life is an adventure in Ellicottville
Ellicottville is a community located in the Southern Tier of Western New York in the foothills of the Allegany Mountains. It's best known for Ski Resorts - Holiday Valley and Holimont; however, it's also a wonderful year-round destination. The Village encompasses one square mile inside the Town of Ellicottville. It was created to provide the more densely populated Village residents with services that were not necessarily feasible for the less populated, rural community.
So many activites to choose from
In Ellicottville, Western New Yorkers revel in the great outdoors with loads of fun and adventure. And there's no shortage of places to explore: over two dozen shops, nearly two dozen bars and restaurants, plus two ski resorts all within walking distance. Enjoy great skiing and snowboarding, golf, mountain biking, hiking, fishing, paddle boarding, and kayaking. Then come back to the village for an amazing meal or to pick up a unique gift at one of the many boutique/shops. As if that isn't enough fun, Ellicottville hosts dozens of events and festivals throughout the year!
Schools
Ellicottville Central School District serves approximately 600 students in their elementary school and combined middle/high school buildings. The district has a student-teacher ratio of 12 to 1 and strives to embrace change, celebrate success, and surpass expectations.
Restaurants and shopping
Ellicottville offers a wide array of shopping options, with numerous shops and boutiques, and is home to many skilled artisans. Food enthusiasts are in for a treat, with a range of dining choices from fine establishments to cozy breweries, often complemented by live entertainment.
